CloudTalk Essential costs $29 per user per month billed annually and sells a single seat, while Aircall Essentials costs $30 per license billed annually with a three-license minimum, so the smallest Aircall bill is $90 a month. For one or two people CloudTalk is far cheaper: $35 a month for one person including a $6 phone number, against $90. From three people up the two land within a few dollars of each other, because Aircall includes one number and CloudTalk charges $6 for it. The prices tie at six seats. Past that, the decision is about queues, integrations, texting and AI rather than price.
Both rate cards were read at source on September 28, 2026, in the United States view. CloudTalk's plan cards, plan comparison table and number pricing pages come from cloudtalk.io. Aircall's plan cards, its feature matrix and the monthly rates behind its billing toggle come from aircall.io/pricing. Every minimum and tier placement below is taken from the vendor's own table.
CloudTalk vs Aircall pricing, side by side
Read the minimum column first. For a team under three it moves the bill more than the headline rate does.
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Minimum | Smallest bill, annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CloudTalk Starter | $25 per user | $34 per user | 1 user | $25 plus $6 a number |
| CloudTalk Essential | $29 per user | $39 per user | 1 user | $29 plus $6 a number |
| CloudTalk Expert | $49 per user | $69 per user | 3 users | $147 plus $6 a number |
| Aircall Essentials | $30 per license | $40 per license | 3 licenses | $90, one number included |
| Aircall Professional | $50 per license | $70 per license | 3 licenses | $150, one number included |
The CloudTalk Starter row needs a warning. CloudTalk's own comparison table marks IVR routing, business hours, texting and integrations as not included on Starter. So the fair match for Aircall Essentials, which has an IVR, texting and integrations, is CloudTalk Essential at $29, not the $25 figure most roundups quote. Aircall Enterprise (25 licenses minimum) is quoted by sales and left out. The $19 CloudTalk Lite plan you may see in some reviews is shown only to visitors in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Is CloudTalk cheaper than Aircall?
For one or two people, yes, by a wide margin. For three to five people Aircall is cheaper by one to three dollars a month, and from seven people up CloudTalk is cheaper again, by four dollars at ten seats. The swing comes from two numbers: CloudTalk charges $1 less per seat but bills the phone number at $6 a month, and Aircall includes one number but will not sell fewer than three licenses.
| Team size | CloudTalk Essential, annual | Aircall Essentials, annual | CloudTalk Essential, monthly | Aircall Essentials, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person | $35 | $90 (3 license floor) | $45 | $120 (3 license floor) |
| 2 people | $64 | $90 (3 license floor) | $84 | $120 (3 license floor) |
| 3 people | $93 | $90 | $123 | $120 |
| 5 people | $151 | $150 | $201 | $200 |
| 10 people | $296 | $300 | $396 | $400 |
Every column assumes one shared US local number. Add a second number and both sides rise by $6. For a solo operator the gap is $55 a month on annual billing, which is $660 a year for the same kind of phone menu. From three seats up the price difference is noise, and you should read the next three sections instead of the table.
What does CloudTalk Essential include that Aircall Essentials does not?
Call recordings kept without a time limit. CloudTalk's comparison table lists unlimited recording retention on Essential. Aircall's matrix gives Essentials access to recordings for up to one year by request, and keeps analytics history for six months on both published plans.
No seat minimum. A single user can buy CloudTalk Essential, which makes it one of the few contact-center-style products you can start with one person. Aircall's minimum applies on monthly billing too: its FAQ says all plans require three licenses regardless of billing cycle.
A cheaper path to a dialer. CloudTalk sells its power dialer as a $15 per user add-on on Essential, so a small sales desk can add dialing without moving up a tier. At Aircall the Power Dialer comes with Professional at $50, which is a $20 per seat step up.
Local numbers in more places. CloudTalk sells local numbers in more than 160 countries, which matters if you run a US team that also calls or receives calls from customers abroad.
What does Aircall Essentials include that CloudTalk Essential does not?
A bigger integration catalog. Aircall lists 250+ integrations and API access on Essentials. CloudTalk lists 95+ standard integrations on Essential, with a HubSpot Certified connector, and keeps Salesforce for Expert at $49. Aircall's Salesforce integration sits on Professional at $50, so for a Salesforce shop the two sales tiers are a dollar apart and the entry tiers are both out.
A phone number in the price. Aircall includes one local or toll-free number with each plan and charges $6 for each additional number. CloudTalk bills every number at $6, and adds $0.03 a minute for inbound toll-free calls.
Texting and AI transcripts on the entry card. Aircall's Essentials card lists SMS and MMS, call recordings with AI transcripts, and 50 AI Voice Agent minutes a month. CloudTalk charges texts from prepaid credit, and its AI Conversation Intelligence, which covers summaries and searchable transcripts, is a $9 per user add-on on every plan.
CloudTalk Expert vs Aircall Professional for a sales or support floor
This is the comparison most buyers of either product end up making, because the dialer and live monitoring sit on these tiers. CloudTalk Expert at $49 annual or $69 monthly includes the power dialer, live monitoring with listen, whisper and barge, wallboards, VIP queues, WhatsApp, Salesforce, single sign-on and 24x7 phone support. Aircall Professional at $50 annual or $70 monthly adds the Power Dialer and voicemail drop, smart routing and queue callback, live call coaching and monitoring, Salesforce, and AI call summaries with conversation intelligence included.
Both carry a three-seat minimum on this tier, so the floors are $147 plus a number at CloudTalk and $150 at Aircall. The practical difference is AI. Aircall includes conversation intelligence on Professional, and CloudTalk still charges $9 per user for it on Expert. On a ten-person floor that is $90 a month in CloudTalk's column, which turns a $4 saving into an $86 premium. If your managers want every call summarized, Aircall Professional is the better value. If they want WhatsApp and a phone number to call for support, CloudTalk Expert is.
For teams whose reps spend the morning researching accounts and writing first-touch emails before they ever dial, the dialer is not the bottleneck. An AI SDR that researches accounts and drafts the outreach can fill the call list, and either tier can work it.
Which should you buy?
Buy CloudTalk Essential if one or two people answer the phone, if you need to start with one seat and grow, or if you want a dialer added to the entry plan for $15. It is the cheaper product for every team under three, and it keeps recordings indefinitely.
Buy Aircall Essentials if three to six people are on the phones, if your stack needs integrations beyond CloudTalk's 95, or if you want texting and AI transcripts in the seat price rather than on credit and add-ons. Buy Aircall Professional over CloudTalk Expert if AI call summaries are the reason you are shopping.
And consider neither if your team answers a business line rather than works a queue. Both are contact center products, priced for hold queues, dialers and reporting. If what you need is a phone menu, ring groups, texting and one local number, the CloudTalk alternative page prices Phoner Team at $29 a seat annual or $35 monthly with the number included, against $35 and $45 for one person on CloudTalk Essential. Phoner has no hold queue, no power dialer and no live monitoring, so a real call center should not switch to it.
